How You Can Help
Help us achieve safe technology in Longmont
Smart meters (and toxic EMF) are already known to contribute damage to both people and pollinators in our communities, not to mention beloved pets and plant life, as well. Here is a list of ways you can contribute your own passion and expertise to help protect the things we hold dear…..
1) Volunteers continue to be needed to distribute flyers to unsuspecting residents in Longmont neighborhoods, including at the Longmont farmer’s market. Smart meters may contribute to the decimation of our critical pollinators, people at these markets are sympathetic to the plight of our bees, in fact, much of our food supply depends on our winged friends. Did you know that not very many Longmont residents are aware of what a smart meter is? How much awareness can you raise, personally? How many people can you educate on this coming (additional!) “toxic EMF” burden in our neighborhoods, where we are all supposed to be able to live and play safely, and healthfully?
2) Donate to support our efforts. We still need funds to generally advocate for safe technology, all of which, including creating and maintaining websites, printing educational materials, and much more, cost money. Please support this effort on behalf of our local community!!! See the bottom of the page for more info.

3) Do your own research. This website contains links to a ton of information!!! Then educate others on the topic. Besides this site, there are many others “out there” that outline the various problems with (especially unchecked) wireless proliferation and technologies including, but not limited to smart and “opt-out” meters.
4) Watch everything you can on this topic including the locally produced “Smart Meter Town Hall” at www.smartmetertownhall.com and the free to view, award-winning documentary on smart meters, Take Back Your Power. Include these in your home-schooling curriculum where applicable.
5) SHARE SHARE SHARE this information. Request a pdf of the flyer “Are Smart Meters Smart for Longmont” then customize it for your situation, print it out, and hand it out. We lost the fight in Longmont against these meters (in the short term) but you are invited to “not re-invent the wheel” at our expense!!! We are glad to send you the pdf, just email us.

6) Make public comments at Longmont (or your own) City Council meetings. In Longmont, this is called “public invited to be heard.”
7) If you’d rather not speak in public, find your Ward’s City Council person and write to them by going here.
8) Protect your kids and pets from ambient toxic EMF by hardwiring your house with ethernet cables, and getting rid of wireless Wi-Fi wherever you can. Keep wireless gadgets away from small children and kids, their skulls are far more vulnerable even than adolescents, much less adults, whose skulls are fully formed, and therefore more protected against this ubiquitous wireless incursion into brains.

9) Create your own pollinator garden, preferably away from any wirelessly broadcasting tech!! Microwave emissions (all “smart” wireless RF emissions) disrupt and kill our tiny working friends. Here’s another site to help you get going, and if you need help/to hire someone to help you, reach out to us here for a local recommendation.
10) Work to eliminate the local use of toxic bee killing pesticides in your own community!!!!
11) View our Resources page for products that can help to mitigate, or block completely, the harmful, damaging effects of EMF.

LONGMONT4SAFETECH DID NOT SUCCEED IN STOPPING SMART METERS IN LONGMONT; WE STILL, HOWEVER, ASK FOR YOUR DONATIONS TO ASSIST THE ONGOING EXPENSES THAT ACCRUE IN EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ON THE DANGERS OF SMART METERS AND WIRELESS EMFS. IF YOU ARE ABLE, PLEASE DONATE TODAY!!!!
HISTORY – WE RAISED PLEDGES OF BETWEEN $10 AND $11K TO STOP THE METERS, IN THE HOPE THAT A MAJOR NON-PROFIT WOULD COME TO ASSIST US IN LEGALLY STOPPING THE METERS COMING HERE. WHEN THE LAST US ELECTION CAME, EVERYTHING CHANGED, THE NON-PROFIT’S MAIN DONORS CHANGED DIRECTIONS, AND THE SMART METERS WERE NOT TO BE STOPPED IN LONGMONT. OUR EFFORTS SUBSEQUENTLY ALSO CHANGED COURSE INTO A MOSTLY EDUCATIONAL ENDEAVOR, BUT WE STILL ACCRUE EXPENSES. WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE ABLE TO DONATE TO THIS EFFORT, WE WILL STILL CONTINUE SPREADING THE WORD, THROUGH THIS WEBSITE, FACEBOOK PAGE, AND LIVE EVENTS, ON TOXIC TECHNOLOGY AND THE RISKS AND DANGERS IT POSES TO OUR FUTURE, THE CHILDREN. AND ALL LIFE.
YOUR DONATIONS WILL GO TO SUPPORT THIS ONGOING WORK, AND THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN EFFORTING FOR ALL OUR RIGHTS, TO SAFETY, SECURITY, AND TO BE FREE OF THE HUMAN HEALTH BURDENS THAT CONTINUE TO BE TRIGGERED BY THE UNFETTERED EXPANSION OF WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY.
